| -Photography NZ- The first thing I did was to ignore the shopkeepers advice and took the camera off the automatic mode in NZ. That simple action inevitably led me into the colourful world of creative photography, and marked the beginning of a love affair that endures to this day - perhaps with more passion than ever. Working in extreme conditions tests your skills and equipment to the very limit, but the pictures that result always repay this effort a thousand times over. NZ Photographer click here Today, fully automatic computerised camera bodys, fast state of the art lenses, auto focus, dozens of unique films to fit every occasion and all manner of flash units, filters and gadgets have made creative photography easily accessable to the masses but for the real deal, the one that is in pursuit of that one in a million shot, the one action you must do is take the camera off automatic and set it to manual. Then and only then will the creative possibilities attainable in photography be fully realised and exploited to it's full extent. Such creativity is to me like rain is to the desert.
